Okay, so, I’ve been on this whole tea kick lately, right? And I’m not talking about just your basic tea bags. I’m talking about loose leaf tea, the good stuff. So I bought a cast iron teapot, you know, the kind that looks all old-timey and cool. I loved it so much! But here’s the thing – it gets cold way too fast. I’d brew up a pot, get distracted by, you know, life, and boom, cold tea. Not ideal.
So I started looking for a solution and I kept seeing these things called teapot warmers. And they’re pretty much what they sound like – little stands that keep your teapot warm. Seemed simple enough. I decided to go for it and find myself a teapot warmer.
I hit up World Market, because, well, they have a little bit of everything. Plus, I just like the vibe of that place, and I found that they have some really charming tea kettles and teapots. And, lo and behold, they had a whole section of tea accessories, including, you guessed it, teapot warmers. It was crafted of cast iron and they had them in several different colors, for example I saw a dark turquoise one. Its vintage-inspired design is a plus. The price tag was decent, so I grabbed one, and a few other goodies, naturally. And the cast iron teapot warmer looked like the same type as the Tetsubin cast iron teapot of 0.6 or 1 Liter, Japanese style, with optional equipment, teapot warmer, plate.
Got it home, brewed up a fresh pot of some jasmine green tea, and set it on the warmer. It’s super simple to use, you just pop a little tealight candle in the bottom, and it keeps the teapot nice and toasty. I used a little tealight candle, lit that sucker up, and set my teapot on top.
And let me tell you, it’s a game changer! I could actually enjoy my tea at my own pace, without it turning into an ice bath. It kept my tea warm for, like, a good hour, maybe even longer. And that was one cheap candle!
Seriously, if you’re a tea drinker, especially if you’re into the whole cast iron teapot thing like me, you need a teapot warmer in your life. It’s one of those little things that makes a big difference. My tea stayed nice and hot, and I didn’t have to rush through it. Plus, it just looks cool, sitting there all rustic and whatnot.
- Pros:
- Keeps tea warm for a long time
- Super easy to use
- Looks pretty cool
- Affordable
It is also one of the more durable teapot warmers you can find.
Final thoughts?
Two thumbs up from this happy tea drinker! I’d totally recommend picking one up. It’s a small investment that makes a big impact on your tea-drinking experience. Go get yourself one! You won’t regret it. I am very glad I purchased one.
