Okay, so I’ve been wanting to get more into tea lately, and I thought a cast iron teapot warmer would be a cool addition to my setup. I’d seen them online and they looked pretty neat, plus I figured it would keep my tea warm for longer. So, I finally got one and here’s how it all went down.

Getting Started
First things first, I unboxed the warmer. It was heavier than I expected! It came with the warmer itself, a little stand, and a spot for a tea light candle. I made sure I had some tea light candles on hand – the small, basic ones.
Setting Up
- I placed the stand on a heat-resistant surface. I didn’t want to mess up my table, so I used a trivet I had. Better safe than sorry!
- Then, I put the tea light candle in the designated holder within the warmer.
- Next, I carefully lit the candle with a lighter. I made sure the flame was nice and steady.
Brewing and Warming
While the candle was getting going, I brewed my tea in my cast iron teapot. I just followed my usual tea-making routine. I put some green tea in my teapot, then pour some hot water in it, let it sit for a while, and pour all the tea out.
Once the tea was ready, I carefully placed the teapot on top of the warmer. The stand seemed pretty sturdy, which was good. I made sure it was centered so it wouldn’t tip over.
Enjoying and Finishing Up
And that was it! I poured myself a cup of tea and enjoyed it. The warmer did a pretty good job of keeping the tea at a nice, drinkable temperature. It wasn’t boiling hot, but it definitely stayed warm for a good while.
When I was all done, I blew out the tea light candle. I let the whole thing cool down completely before I even thought about touching it or putting it away. Cast iron gets really hot, and I didn’t want to burn myself.

All and all I think it is pretty cool and easy to use, and now I can drink tea for a longer time without worrying about the tea getting cold.
