Okay, so I’ve been on this huge tea kick lately. I used to be all about coffee, coffee, coffee, but now? Tea all the way. But, I’m picky. I hate those little tea bags – they always seem to rip or leave sediment at the bottom of my cup. And forget about those metal mesh balls, they’re a pain to clean.

So, I started my quest for the perfect tea-drinking experience. First, I tried just using loose leaf tea straight in the cup. Disaster! Leaves everywhere, stuck in my teeth… not cute. Then I got one of those little spoon-shaped infusers. Better, but still kind of messy, and it didn’t really hold enough tea for a strong brew.
My Perfect Cup
Finally, I decided to try a ceramic tea cup with a built-in infuser and a lid. And let me tell you, it’s a game changer!
Here’s how my tea routine goes now:
- I boil some water. I don’t need a whole kettle, just enough for one cup.
- While the water is heating, I scoop my favorite loose leaf tea into the ceramic infuser that came with the cup. It’s this deep, roomy basket that fits right inside.
- I pour the hot water over the tea leaves in the infuser.
- Then, and this is key, I pop the lid on. It keeps the tea nice and hot while it steeps, and it also keeps any stray leaves from escaping.
- I wait for a few minutes – usually about five, but it depends on the type of tea.
- Finally, I carefully remove the infuser, which is super easy because it has a little handle. All the leaves stay contained, and I’m left with a perfect, clean cup of tea!
And there have a ceramic tea cup.
Honestly, this ceramic tea cup with the infuser and lid has made my tea-drinking so much more enjoyable. It’s easy to use, easy to clean, and it makes a great cup of tea every time. I can’t be happier!
