Okay, so, I’m gonna tell you about this little experiment I did with Lipton mint green tea. You know, the usual stuff, just wanted to see how it goes if I make it myself and write down the whole process. Nothing fancy, just my usual routine.
First off, I grabbed my kettle. I filled it up with some water, just enough for a mug, I wasn’t making a whole batch or anything. I flipped the switch on the kettle and waited for it to boil. You know the drill, waiting for that whistle.
While the water was doing its thing, I grabbed my favorite mug and picked out a Lipton mint green tea bag from the box. I really like that minty smell, it’s so refreshing! Ripped open the little paper packet and plunked the tea bag into my mug.
Once the kettle whistled, I carefully poured the hot water over the tea bag in the mug. I always let it sit for a bit, you know, not too long, maybe like a minute and a half or two minutes. They say that’s how long it should steep. I read that somewhere on a similar tea bag, I guess.
After the steeping time, I removed the tea bag. Sometimes, I like to add a little something extra. Like today, I felt like having it cool, so I tossed in a few mint leaves that I had growing in a little pot on my windowsill. Stirred it around a bit with a spoon.
- Boil water in a kettle.
- Put a Lipton mint green tea bag into a mug.
- Pour the hot water over the tea bag.
- Steep for about 1.5 to 2 minutes.
- Remove the tea bag.
- Add some fresh mint leaves or pineapple slices.
- Put into the refrigerator to cool.
Then, because I wanted it cold, I stuck the whole mug in the fridge. Waited for a while, took it out, and bam! My homemade Lipton mint green tea was ready. It’s super simple, but I like writing down my steps, just like a little diary. It was really refreshing, especially with those mint leaves. I think next time, I might try some pineapple slices. That could be a fun twist, make it a bit fruity. Anyway, that’s my little tea adventure for today. Hope you enjoyed my rough steps!
