Felt a bit scratchy in the throat this morning, you know? Nothing major, just one of those days. Didn’t really feel like coffee. Remembered I had those single-serve lemon tea things tucked away.

So, I dragged myself to the kitchen. Grabbed my trusty Keurig machine, it’s old but still kicks. Wiped it down a bit, gotta keep things clean-ish.
Rummaged through my pod drawer. Found the little lemon tea pod. Looked alright. Simple stuff.
Okay, action time. Lifted the handle on the machine. Popped that little pod right in there. Closed it back up, heard that little puncture sound. Always satisfying for some reason.
Picked out my favorite mug – the big blue one. Placed it under the spout. Checked the water level in the machine, topped it off just in case. Don’t want a half-cup disaster.
Then, just hit the brew button. The medium size one, usually does the trick. Machine started whirring and gurgling, doing its thing. The smell started hitting me, that zesty lemon scent. Not bad, actually quite nice when you’re feeling blah.

Watched it fill the mug. Steaming hot. Took maybe a minute? Super quick, gotta love that part. No boiling kettles, no tea bags dripping everywhere.
Carefully took the mug out. Steam rising. Gave it a little swirl. Took a tentative sip. Hot! But yeah, lemon tea. Hit the spot. Sometimes I add honey, but today just kept it plain. Simple, warm, lemony. Did the job for my throat.
Easy peasy. That’s the whole story. Back to my chair now, mug in hand. Sometimes the simplest things work best, right?
