Okay, so, I saw this thing online the other day, and it’s a cup, but it’s split down the middle. You know, for when you and your buddy can’t agree on what to get for bubble tea. I thought it was pretty neat, so I ordered one and tried it out.
Getting Started
First off, I gotta say, finding these things online wasn’t too hard. There are a bunch of them, different sizes and all. I went with a regular-sized one, about 500ml, I think, just to play it safe.
When it arrived, it looked just like the pictures. A clear plastic cup, with a divider right in the middle. Came with two straws, too, which was thoughtful.
Making the Drinks
Next up, I had to actually make some bubble tea. I’m no expert, but I’ve done it a few times before. I made a big batch of black tea, let it cool down, and then I cooked up some tapioca pearls. For this experiment, I decided to go with two different flavors: a classic milk tea and a strawberry one.
For the milk tea, I just added some milk and sugar to the black tea. Simple enough. For the strawberry one, I used some of that flavored powder mix you can get. Mixed that in with some tea, and we were good to go.
Filling It Up
Now for the real test: filling the cup. I was a little worried about spilling, but it wasn’t too bad. I poured the milk tea into one side, and the strawberry into the other. The divider did its job, no mixing at all.
Final Result
And there you have it! Two different bubble teas, in one cup. It was actually pretty cool. My friend and I tried it out, and we both got to have our favorite flavors without having to buy two separate drinks. It’s a pretty nifty idea if you ask me, especially if you’re indecisive like us.
So, overall, I’d say the split cup was a success. It’s not something I’d use every day, but it’s definitely fun for sharing. Plus, it’s a good conversation starter, I think it will be useful when I go out with my girlfriend, we can get our drinks with only one cup.
