So, I’ve been using this Bodum teapot and warmer setup for a while now, and I’ve gotta say, it’s pretty neat. I mean, I’m no tea expert, but I do enjoy a good cuppa now and then.
First off, I got this Bodum Assam Tea Press thing. It looked kinda cool, so I figured, why not? The whole process started with me just wanting a better way to make tea. I used to just throw a tea bag in a mug, but this seemed more… sophisticated, you know?
- Getting Started:
- Heating the Water:
- Adding the Tea:
- Brewing:
- Pressing and Serving:
So, I unboxed the thing and the first step is to make sure it is clean, like, really clean. And I also grab my electric kettle and make sure it doesn’t have any of that nasty buildup inside. Then I fill it up with fresh, cold water.
Next, I started heating the water. While that’s going, I took some hot water and warmed up the teapot. Just swirled it around and dumped it out. Apparently, this helps keep the tea warm later.
Then comes the tea. Now, I tried both loose leaf tea and tea bags. You’re supposed to use one teaspoon of loose tea per cup. I usually just eyeball it, to be honest. For tea bags, I just tossed in the recommended amount.
Once the water’s boiling, you pour it into the teapot over the tea leaves or bags. Then, you gotta wait. The instructions said something about brewing time, but I usually just wait until it looks like tea, you know the right color and all.
This teapot has this plunger thing, and when the tea is ready, you press it down. I guess it stops the tea from getting too strong? Anyway, after that, you can pour it into your cup.
Keeping it Warm
Now, about the warmer. This little stand with a candle underneath it. It’s pretty simple. You just light the candle, put the teapot on top, and it keeps your tea warm for a while. It’s nice if you’re like me and tend to forget about your tea.
Overall, I’m pretty happy with this setup. It makes decent tea, and it feels a bit fancier than my old method. Plus, the warmer is a nice touch. I started doing this whole tea thing because a friend recommended it. Now, I’m not sure if I’m doing it perfectly, but it works for me! I did some searching on the internet to know how to use it when I first got it. It’s quite simple and easy to use. It works pretty well for me.
Honestly, I picked this teapot because I saw it mentioned on some website I was browsing. It sounded good, so I bought it online. No regrets so far!
Anyway, that’s my little story about my Bodum teapot adventure. Hope it was somewhat helpful or at least entertaining!
